I really enjoyed this movie for what it was. Compared to something like Pearl Habour which ended up being a bloody love story, this movie was action from beginning to end and that's exactly how you grab my attention when it comes to history and that's why I learn from Indiana Jones, apart from the fourth installment. We did have the breaks from the fighting as it was important for the storyline to show how the intelligence team intercepted the messages from the Japanese, which apart from the attacks that would follow, is clearly the most integral part of the story. The movie reminded me of something that Michael Bay would be proud of with explosions galore, whether they be in the air, on land, on the deck or even at submarine level, there was plenty to go around. Don't go thinking I'm getting carried away though, this was at best a popcorn movie that was a good watch, something that I might watch again when it makes it to the living room screen but a one time watch is enough for the enjoyment and action.

"No es Your Name 2"
Año/País: 2019/ Japón
Genero: Anime, Drama, Fantasía, Romántico.
Duración: 114 minutos
Director: Makoto Shinkai.
Now we enter the Top 3 of My Favorite Feel Good Movies. At number 3 is a movie is a movie i have watched every summer since I was young. It is the Rob Reiner classic “Stand By Me.” This movie is simply a blanket of comfort, a movie to wrap myself up in on a summer day when I just feel like staying indoors, grabbing a root beer and some popcorn, sinking into my sofa and putting on a classic. Watching this movie has become a tradition in my life and summer doesn’t officially begin until I spend an afternoon in the small town of Castle Rock. Still to this day, every time I watch this movie, I am brought back to a time when summer was the season that ruled all seasons and truly meant freedom, adventure and lazy afternoons spent with my closest childhood friends.
Where did those days go? How have things changed so much? For a brief hour and a half I am transported back to my 12-year-old self and am given a quick glimpse back to a time when things just seemed a little lighter, a little easier - I laughed a little harder and a lot longer. Now hours blend into days, days into weeks, weeks into months. Sometimes I wish things could just slow down a little. Watching this movie I am able to reminisce about the time in my life when summer hours just seemed to slowly melt away like a popsicle on the sidewalk in July. I lived each day so fully that the setting sun was the only thing to bring a stop to fun times that I wish could have last forever.
After watching this movie I just feel good. I spend the rest of my day just kind of floating along. I am my 12-year-old self just kicking a pinecone down the street on my way home from my friends. I am in the moment and not so educated on the ways of the adult world. That is why I will always love this movie cause for this briefest of moments, I am reminded of the friends I grew up with and how they will always hold the shared memories of some of the best times of my life. “I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was 12. Jesus, does anyone?”
At number 6 on My Favorite Feel Good Films list is a little independent movie Jon Favreau made back in 2014 named “Chef” and he got a few of his friends from the marvel universe, Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson, to take small roles in this film. I ranked “Chef” as my favorite film of 2014. I remember it was released right at the beginning of summer and set the tone for the rest of it. I believe I ended up seeing this film 3 times in theaters. I would spend my days walking around the city, headphones in, soaking up the sun, eating, drinking, enjoying my afternoon and would pass a theater playing “Chef” and I couldn’t help myself. I would pop in and see it again. Every time I left the theater with a huge smile on my face. This is the perfect film to lighten any mood. It’s a dose of sunshine on a cloudy day and might just be the perfect movie when you are stuck in doors.
Just thinking of now... I think I’m ready to make a grilled cheese sandwich. Bone Apple tea;)
Superman: Red Son (2020)
Produced & Directed by: Sam Liu
Screeplay by: J.M. DeMatteis
Studio: Warner Bros. Animation
Based on the DC comic book: 'Superman: Red Son' by Mark Millar
The premise is all about the idea of "what would happen if Superman had been raised in the Soviet Union?" What if The Man Of Steel doesn't represent truth, justice, and the American way?
The answer: A riveting, entertaining, and compelling story from beginning to end. This movie is RELENTLESS, it doesn't let you breathe, once the match was lit, the story just kept burning and bursting into bigger flames.
I can't tell you how accurately they adapted the source material, all I can tell you is that I enjoyed the heck out of this movie. Elseworld stories are just really damn fun because writers are not anchored to the continuity of the regular DC universe, they could play with literally anything they want.
Finally, the art and animation, the voice acting, and the story were all pretty fantastic. So excited for more DC Animated Films.
P.S. The source material is a classic and it must've been really good for this adaptation to have this much fun packed into it.

"People say I make strange choices, but they're not strange for me. My sickness is that I'm fascinated by human behavior, by what's underneath the surface, by the worlds inside people. I like the challenge of trying different things and wondering whether it's going to work or whether I'm going to fall flat on my face."
Being unique is better than being perfect. You cannot be all things to all people. Be unique. Be different. Give to others what you want yourself. And do what you were made to do!
