5 hours for so many reasons. Breaking up a band in someone’s hair who wants to be blonde can be one of the most challenging things. Saturday morning I dove into this hair full force. Constantly doing something , back to back foils to break up the band, there were 3 different zones trying to break them up and get them to a more blended color was our goal! I’d say we succeeded. A major color change like this that uses MULTIPLE bowls of product, many hours, & more than two hands, gets charged by the hour in our salon. After doing highlights, toning roots/mids in between , clay lightened what was left out, we rinsed & shampooed.. then followed with many different #morevibrance toners to make sure we toned every different zone of the hair.
Using all @schwarzkopfusa products to create this look. •

Haven’t posted for a while, not for lack of business, just a busy personal and salon life. However, I couldn’t resist reposting this gorgeous pic of one of my favorite and longest running clients. ❤️ #bobhaircut#lobhaircut#blonde#highlights#athlete#yogateacher#runnersofinstagram#shorthair#sfstlyist
Repost from @jennymaieryoga
I think some runners are scared to cut their hair short. It’s harder to pull up and no more envious #ponytailexpress instagrammable moments. BUT in my line of work, I also need a hair style that takes two seconds to do before I teach early morning classes and barely needs a brush to maintain in order to look presentable. My yearly hair chop happened a little later this year (due to keeping some length for the wedding—normally I cut it short after Javelina while I’m recovering and therefore not needing it to be pulled back a lot) but it feels nice to finally get it done! Thanks @jvphair#shorthairdontcare 💇🏼♀️💕

After toning my client with 10v and 10g all over I used DOUBLE BOOST for the perfect root volumizer. And then for a perfectly shiny finish I used SLEEK PERFECTION!
7 WAYS TO KEEP BLONDE HAIR HEALTHY AT HOME!!! .
1.) Use a strengthening and hydrating shampoo/conditioner combo! Lightened hair lacks protein and moisture so it’s essential to have quality hair products to meet your needs. .
2.) Don’t wash your hair vigorously!!! Be gentle when you’re shampooing. Too much friction will cause breakage. .
3.) Use a multi-benefit leave in conditioner. Something that detangles, hydrates, and protects from heat is essential. .
4.) Use a microfiber towel or a T-shirt on wet hair! Those fabrics are great for any hair type, but especially for blondes who are more prone to breakage. .
5.) Use a Wet Brush and brush your hair from the ends up and take your time!! Ripping through your hair from top to bottom is extremely hard on it. Wet brushes have more flexible bristles that will easily glide over and through tangles. .
6.) Do minimal heat styling, and when you do, keep the temperature of your tool at or under 300 degrees. Avoid going over the same pieces (sectioning your hair will help), and always use heat protectant! .
7.) Don’t wear tight ponytails or buns, and try to only use teleties and scrunchies. Too much tension on your hair will cause it to break! .
Sometimes you can leave the salon damage free, but start to see breakage within a couple weeks/months if you aren’t taking proper care of your hair at home! I will always give my product recommendations before you leave the salon, but if you haven’t sat in my chair before, message me and I can help you choose the best products for your hair! Were these tips helpful?
