This is a photo taken of a patients period log. I recommend the free app P Tracker for keeping track of cycles, symptoms etc. Why is this screen shot so exciting? This particular patient’s periods were erratic. They often skipped a month or came twice in a month, with pms consisting of cramping, discomfort, fatigue and general mood concerns. Having Acupuncture consistently has really helped regulate her cycle and get her back on track! You know, you gotta love it when your mom gives you candy and junk food when you hit shark week (what I call my period 😅). She's been getting me different types of candy for a few days, love the candies and I love her so much since I don't ever take medicine for this. Wanna stop my complaining? Happy New Moon! How are you feeling today? In Chinese medicine, the new moon is the most Yin point of the lunar cycle. ⠀
If you have been feeling more withdrawn, perhaps a bit lethargic, sensitive, creative, less 'productive' and more in the visionary/manifesting/dreamy space the past couple of days, well, it can depend on where you are in your cycle, but it can also be due to the Yin nature of where we are in the lunar rhythm. The new moon is all about shedding off the old, letting go and entering a rebirth cycle. ⠀
The moon is continually emerging and descending, living and dying, beginning and ending each and every cycle, a continuous spiral and loop. Reflecting beautifully how we also move through our menstrual cycles. ⠀
If you track your menstrual cycle and pay attention to what day you are in of your cycle, your bleeding phase, follicular phase, ovulation and luteal phase, I encourage you to also invite the moon's cycles into your practice. It can add a whole other layer of depth and can be fascinating watching your body ebb and flow along side the moon cycles and swap and change between patterns. ⠀

RED LENTIL PASTA W/ VEGAN ROASTED RED PEPPER SAUCE
•12 ozs Red Lentil Pasta (1 package)
•1/4 cup Pumpkin Seeds
•1/2 cup Cashews
•1 Red Bell Pepper (Roasted, Jar)
•1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
•Sea Salt & Black Pepper (To Taste)
1️⃣Cook red lentil pasta according to package instructions.

I was talking to a smart young woman on Thursday night (hi @bollynewton 🤪) about success and how success looks different for everyone.
I think so often people in this community get caught up in the success of one test that we forget about other achievements and don’t celebrate them anywhere near enough.
For example, this week - I grew my business with two new contracts and hired a graphic design subcontractor and finalised my first NDA with a lawyer. Those are all big milestones and means my business will be twice as successful this year as last year.
There are women here who have almost finished their PHDs and will soon call themselves Doctor (hi @heidi_loves_tea), who lost 3kgs (@over_the_rainbow1978) and went for a long walk - even though they didn’t feel like it, acing a job interview (@thebigfword_fertility), getting through an event that gives them bad anxiety (@endowarriorttc) and so much more.
Let’s take five minutes and boost ourselves up - give somebody a shout out and tell them how proud you are of what they are doing or talk about something you are proud to have achieved this week.
Let’s celebrate our success!

In a nutritional medicine consultation we dive into lots of questions around a womens menstrual cycle, as this precious information can tell us a lot about what is going on inside the body. Here we ask questions around PMS symptoms, pain during the menses, clots, flow, energy, cravings, changes in your stools during this time, plus lots more.
