Mindset and economy growth
Lately im understanding on my social behaves analyses and economic growth ,that the mindset of the countries and their society its crucial even in life quality and economic growth ,For example the poorest countries in the world are countries that do not respect the freedom of speech , the freedom of thinking ,the freedom of loving free and who u want while the countries that have accepted the diversity of lifestyle are the richest countries ,look at Sweden , USA , Norway , UK, Belgium and lots of other countries that respect the humanity freeedom ,So its totally proved by my opinion that diversity and the mindset are the crucial characteristics to growrh an economy of a country and their life quality .Diversity should be the unquestionable accomplishment for a modern society when people are happy and are living with dignity !
A seven-day partial-truce between the United States and the Afghani Taliban began at midnight on Friday. During the seven days, the Taliban has agreed to reduce its violence by; refraining from attacking human settlements, main roads, and international bases. Also, the US military, its allies, and Afghan forces have agreed to refrain from engaging with the Taliban unless it is in self-defense. This comes after almost a year of talks between the US government and Taliban officials, and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stated: “Upon successful implementation of this understanding, signing of the US-Taliban agreement is expected to move forward”. Officials hope that this agreement could pave the way for a US troop withdrawal, and potentially an end to the 18-year conflict. #politics#news#currentevents#politica#politik#politicalscience#politicalcompass#balancetheballot#youth#voting#mun#debate#discussion #politicaldebate#partialtruce #peacetalks#Afghanistan#USA

During a press release on Tuesday last week, Apple warned that it would not match guidance on its revenue this March quarter. After the coronavirus outbreak in China, Apple factories and stores were shut down. A slow production and a fall in demand have had severe repercussions on Apple. Out of the 42 stores that were closed, only 7 have reopened; and the return to work in factories has been slower than expected. As of Tuesday morning in China, more than 72,000 people had been infected by the virus. Apple being the bellwether of global supply and demand for goods, furthermore it is a foreboding for other companies with stakes in China. Even if all of the factories that produce Apple products get back up to speed in China, Apple faces other challenges as it relies on a sprawling network of Chinese suppliers to provide key components for its main devices. All of those suppliers will need to pass government inspections that their facilities are properly disinfected with proper accommodation for potentially quarantining affected workers. “Apple is fundamentally strong, and this disruption to our business is only temporary,” the company said.#politics #news#currentevents#politica#politik#politicalscience#politicalcompass#balancetheballot#youth#voting#mun#debate#discussion #politicaldebate#coronavirus #apple#china#economy#business#production#global
I went to a great social media workshop by @brosandprose at @caveatnyc just now and one thing I learned was to retain my voice. I think this picture of me from last night reflects the fact that we can try to make things look fancy but actually doing hard stuff is messy and also we are all going to die. Am I doing this right? #science#politicalcircus#polcircus#ted2016 ❤️✨.
Seriously though @brosandprose is brilliant and you should hire her to consult on social media and you should FOLLOW and ENGAGE with her!!
And yet again amazing costume by @queen_of_ruffles 🎪💜!

Operation Condor was a US backed campaign of political repression and state terror involving intelligence operations and assassination of opponents. It was formally implemented in November 1975 by right-wing dictatorships of the Southern Cone of South America. Key members were the governments in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia and Brazil. Ecuador, Peru, Colombia and Venezuela later joined the operation in more peripheral roles. The program nominally intended to eradicate communist or Soviet influence. Due to its clandestine nature, the precise number of deaths directly attributed to the operation is highly disputed. Some estimates are that at least 60,000 deaths, roughly 30,000 in Argentina while the “Archives of Terror '' list 50,000 killed, 30,000 disappeared and 400,000 imprisoned. Victims included dissidents and leftists, union and peasant leaders, priests, nuns, educators, intellectuals and suspected guerrillas. The United States government provided planning, coordinating, training on torture, technical support and supplied military aid to the Juntas during the Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, and the Reagan administrations. Latin American countries are probing the uncomfortable details of their repressive past. There has never been full accounting of US liaison and collaboration with the Latin American agencies carrying out the repression.#politics #news#currentevents#politica#politik#politicalscience#politicalcompass#balancetheballot#youth#voting#mun#debate#discussion #politicaldebate#operationcondor #southamerica#usa#cia#johnson#nixon#ford#carter#reagan#latinamerica #dictatorship
I’ve been a lot more choosy about the #raedunn I bring home lately, and I actually haven’t bought anything new in a while... but this was a must-have. So here’s a friendly, non-partisan PSA from your resident polisci major: Not only is it a scary world out there, it’s an election year and our fate lies in the ballots of too many uneducated voters. Make sure you’re reading news from multiple sources, register to vote, be respectful of others, and stay #woke, friends. 🇺🇸

I don’t remember ever caring as much about politics and voting when I was a child as my students do now. As we are also in the centennial anniversary of women’s right to vote, I think it’s important that we empower and educate our littles on making change in our country; both within the voting process and outside of it.
What’s our favorite voting related read aloud??
R U quite sure that you’re not playing politics here U didn’t like the conclusions so you went hunting? Why not properly REDO the meta-analysis if you’re interested in GOOD SCIENCE? The prison-industrial complex is a term describing the phenomenon of the rapid increase of the incarcerated population within the United States, in correlation with the rise of political influence in the private, for-profit prison industry. Essentially, private corporations will provide goods and services to public sector government agencies to receive federal funding, tax relief, and other benefits. The utilization of below minimum wage, inmate labor is critical to the mechanisms of these prisons, providing external businesses access to cheap labor while still obeying federal labor guidelines. The desire for monetary gain over the importance of rehabilitation has caused civil rights organizations, including the Rutherford Institute and the ACLU, to strike for protest reform and the abolishment of for-profit, privatized correction institutions. The Reagan Administration’s War on Drugs is a large contributor to the development of the prison-industrial complex and mass incarceration as a whole in the United States.

Global Witness has found that UK taxpayers are funding fossil fuel projects with a net worth of $750 million across Africa. The Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), a London-based investment group, raised $1 billion with the help of the UK government over 16 years, two-thirds of which came directly from taxpayer funds. Between 2002 and 2018, PIDG invested in heavy fuel and oil power plants in Senegal and Mali. Plans are also in place targeting Togo and the Ivory Coast. Although PIDG maintains that it is aware that such investment "has the potential to lock in future carbon emissions patterns”, Global Witness has called for the UK government to honour its commitment to “support African countries in their transition to cleaner energy”. Although Boris Johnson has announced that the UK government will end all direct to coal mining and power plants across Africa, it will still aid foreign governments in "extracting and using" oil and gas. However, many MPs, including Greens MP Caroline Lucas, are drawing attention to the government's "breath-taking" hypocrisy on the issue.

Duty Free.

Inspiring & a King who faced windy weather to help me out when I first decided to form my photography business!
I STAN A TRUE KING👑
Happy Birthday and here’s to more J&J moments!
I’m grateful to announce I’ve already been booked to speak in many lovely places in 2020! LA (x2), Toronto, DC, Madison, Budapest, Stockholm, Philadelphia, and NYC(x a lot) are among the (un)lucky recipients of my rambling!
I’ll try to post the schedule somewhere but also I am not a functioning human so probably you’ll just see a bunch of Instagram stories about middle seats. Btw I charge extra for the all-denim AJR experience.
Please get in touch if you’d like me to visit your part of the world to talk data, diversity, and/or social science in a hopefully fun and occasionally circus-themed way!
Photo by @photojuice (of course) at @kylemarian’s race science installment of The Symposium: Academic Standup at @caveatnyc where I represented the much-in-demand perspective of white women.

Title: Global Discontents
By: Noam Chomsky, David Barsamian
In the book Global Discontents, Chomsky asks us to “consider the world we are leaving to our grandchildren.” In the form of interviews, David Barsamian asks Chomsky about the most imperiling topics and issues our world is witnessing. From US foreign policy, China, Israel, to the struggles of the Middle East, and just global politics in most of its spectrums, Chomsky, the author of more than 100 books, scrutinizes what it is politics, and the current political system is really doing to our world. In addition to that, Chomsky elaborates on climate change, and how modern capitalistic political systems are contributing to the deterioration of our world in most of its forms.
This book is the first book I would give 5 stars for many reasons. The first reason is since it is almost impossible to read a political book and agree to everything, this is one of the few books that contains unique, enriching perspectives to the world’s most pressing political dilemmas that are presented by a Jewish American Author who is not far-right and completely blinded by U.S/Israeli power. In fact, Chomsky questions and criticizes the American way of politics by providing political, and historical evidence to why it is flawed. His perspective is not ordinary and in fact is controversial. However, what really made “Global Discontents” stand out to me is that the arguments and points are written in a very concise, yet informative, analyzed, and supported manner.
